ABOUT US

Our purpose is to delve into the intricacies of contemporary Ukrainian culture, traditions, and the remarkable individuals that comprise it.

Ukrainian Days is a program which encompasses a diverse range of artistic mediums such as the Ukrainian film series, contemporary art exhibition and writers' discussion. Its purpose is to delve into the intricacies of contemporary Ukrainian culture, traditions, and the remarkable individuals that comprise it, all through various perspectives and artistic forms.

The events will take place across a few venues in Vancouver starting in February 2024 and will continue into 2025. After its completion, we hope that this programming will extend its reach, travelling across Canada, fostering engagement, and forging deep connections with diverse communities nationwide.

This programming reminds us that artistic expressions were once forbidden for Ukrainians, resulting in persecution and even death for those who dared to speak out. Now more than ever it is important to shed light on these stories, reflections and perspectives to the world at large and specifically to Canada. With this project, we hope to share the lived experience of Ukrainians and their fight for a better future for their country.
